Our attendees’ safety and well-being are our highest priority and therefore in light of the recent public health restriction limiting groups of 50 or more from gathering, the BIABC Conference & AGM scheduled for May 3-6, 2020 in Coquitlam will be postponed.

The BIABC Board of Directors will be determining how to best proceed with the 2020 AGM and elections and will provide the relevant information to the membership in the coming days. Updates on the rescheduled BIABC Conference will be forthcoming when details are confirmed.

Austin Heights is an amazing place to eat, shop and live. With more than 270 businesses, a robust 20-year Neighbourhood Development Plan, and an ideal location close to parks, recreation and public transit, we can’t help but want to share our thriving community with the world – or, at least, the Pacific Northwest.

This May, Austin Heights will host Business Improvement Associations (BIAs) from across BC, Alberta and the US – showing off our vibrant neighbourhood and the work done by the Austin Heights BIA – during the BIABC + IDA Pacific Northwest Regional Conference. The annual conference welcomes businesses and organizations looking to connect, learn and grow with seminars, keynote speakers, local tours and networking events.

This year’s conference theme is The Power of Collaboration. At the AHBIA, we work closely with the City, community groups, government and other business organizations like the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce to maximize the resources we have to support our local businesses. Conference topics will follow along this theme, highlighting ways businesses and organizations can work together to achieve success for all.

It’s not all seminars and keynotes at the BIABC Conference. We’re getting attendees out in our community so they can experience the City of Coquitlam firsthand. Mobile tours will take guests around town to experience our parks, our town centre, and even a brewery or two. Cocktail receptions, a pub night and the Best in the West Awards give everyone a chance to mingle and relax at some of the most popular spots in Coquitlam.

We’re excited to share our wonderful city with other BIAs and highlight everything Austin Heights has to offer. Whatever you need, Austin Heights has it all!
