7 Ways to Warm-Up

Brrrr it’s cold in Coquitlam. We’ve compiled 7 things to do in Austin Heights to keep warm this winter.

Number 1: Soup

Keep the cold at bay by warming yourself from the inside out with a good bowl of soup. Soup Plus on Austin and Marmont may be famous for their homemade bread, but they also make fantastic soups!

Number 2: More Soup

Go for Pho! Pho Holiday on Austin serves delicious pho and traditional Vietnamese fare 7 days a week.

Number 3: Warm Up By the Fire

Cozy up in front of the fire at Me-n-Ed’s Pizza while you enjoy a slice and a pop (or beer!).

Number 4: Coffee, Coffee, Coffee

Austin Heights is bookended by two of Canada’s favourite coffee brands – Tim Horton’s and McDonald’s. And, because Austin Heights is such a walkable neighbourhood, you could start at one, do your shopping, and then finish at the other!

Number 5: Treat Yourself

Nothing gets the blood flowing like a good dose of sugar. Coffee + Vanilla makes their own desserts, including delicate French Macarons. Treat yourself to one alongside a specialty coffee.

Number 6: The Hot Toddy

Get comfy at the John B Pub and order yourself a traditional cold-weather hot toddy to chase those winter chills away.

Number 7: Get Sweaty

While we’re often tempted to hibernate this time of year, a good sweat-session does wonders for keeping warm. Check out Club Sweat for private and group training sessions. After treating yourself to numbers 1 through 6, you may feel like you need it!
